COFOUNDER
TOMORROW BRANDS
LEAD DESIGN & EXPERIENCE STRATEGY

More than sixteen years of experience in design thinking, design and branding agencies, and complex projects from transportation to interactive design.

Martina has been working in design, branding, and design thinking for over 16 years. She was able to gain experience in various large and complex projects at product design agencies as well as branding agencies.

Martina was born in Linz and after attending the HBLA für künstlerische Gestaltung she studied Industrial Design at the Kunstuni Linz. During her studies, she gained experience at the Kepler University Linz, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, and during an Erasmus stay at the University of Las Palmas in Spain.

In her diploma thesis, Martina's interest in future topics, networked thinking, and integrating digital elements in everyday life was evident. The thesis dealt with the integration of digital interfaces by using OLED technology for home automation, lighting, and communication games. The thesis was written in 2006, and its concept and design can be compared to the revolutionary iPad launched shortly (2010).

After graduating, Martina moved to Madrid to expand her professional experience in different design agencies such as Mormedi and Spirit Design. She gained versatile experience in projects for clients such as HEINEKEN, TALGO, BWIN, Legrand, Madrid Metro, and Bellota tools. From the beginning, her focus was on analytical thinking, such as design analysis, market analysis, and human-centered design, which later became known in the industry as design thinking. The thorough research and structuring of design problems and tasks have always been of great importance to her and formed the basis for the implementation of the function and aesthetics of the projects.

Martina believes that empathy is a fundamental tool for the success of any project. Analyzing and understanding users' needs, problems, and experiences form a basis for developing designs and innovations that add value. Then, in 2010, she moved back to Vienna, Austria, where she co-founded Perezramerstorfer Design Studio with Rodrigo Perez Gutierrez. This milestone was accompanied by many successes, such as funding from the Vienna Business Agency and projects for prestigious clients like redesigning the brand "Passiv Haus" to "Innovative Gebäude."

Another project was "Lisi the House" a competition entry for the Solar Decathlon competition in California. It achieved 1st place overall and 1st place in the communication category.

Her mobility project "BOX" received an outstanding award in the Cinclying Affair Ideas competition and was part of the exhibition of the same name at MAK Vienna.
Other projects included work for the VHS Vienna, MA 13, the press, and the Vienna Business Agency.

In 2020, Martina, together with Yuhsuke Akamatsu and Rodrigo Ez, began the transformation of Perezramerstorfer Studio into the value-driven marketing agency Tomorrow brands, an agency with the clear goal of transforming marketing into a simple, data-driven, step-by-step, and enriching process, with the development of tools and services that focus on the needs and problems of the customer.
